Julie Anne Duffy of Essex Road in Brinnington, Stockport, a much loved mum of 2 son's and a
daughter, died on arrival at Stepping Hill Hospital after fire crews rescued her unconscious from
her burning house. Luckily her children were not at the house that night.
Julie was a very special person. She was happy, funny and fun loving. Everyone who was close to her
and those that knew her, loved her for her warm, loving nature and her crazy ways. She was a
beautiful and loving person and wouldn't have hurt anyone, so nobody can understand why anyone would
want to hurt her. She could make a total stranger feel as if they had known her forever within a few
minutes of meeting her.
Julie will be very sadly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known her. All we want now
is for her to rest in peace.
Police and fire crews were called to Essex Road shortly after 3.20am on Thursday 28 September 2006
following reports of a fire, which was believed to have been started between 3am and 3.20am. Two
police officers who arrived first at the scene attempted to get into the house to rescue Julie but
were beaten back by flames.
It is believed that the fire was started in the hallway of the property. Julie and her partner were
upstairs at the time and became trapped in the house after her partner escaped through a small
bedroom window and also suffered serious injuries.

A true beautiful friend
Was feeling a bit low this morning thinking of you. I dont know what made me do it but i just googled your name and came across this. I am crying writing this Jue, we all miss you so much. Was round Sharons the other week and we were playing records and remembering you as we always do when we get together. You were a true friend and we all know you are looking down on us (most probably doing the moon walk with MJ). Love and miss you forever my friend xxx

Hello Julie
This is my second attempt at writing you a message - i think I pressed the wrong button before - sorry!!
I would of been here before but I didnt know you had a page on here - sorry. I remember so clearly the laughs we all had in the Farmers when you would just approach total strangers and introduce yourself and chat away like you had known them for years then come back and tell us all about them as though we knew them too. It was a shock when we all found out what had happened to you - I hope one day they find the person responsible for that fire!! There are still posters up asking for information so you will never be forgotten, people still speak of you even now with fondness. Was you looking down when most of the Estate came to say Goodbye to you at your funeral - It was said that you loved fairies so I will find some fairy pics to send to you. Rest in peace Julie - you was a beautiful person to all that knew you xxxxx Julie xxx
